Are you out there?

At 77th and 22nd on Tuesday, March 18th
They’ll be a man with a hat near a tree with a branch
Losing all of it’s leaves

Ask the man in the hat if his wings are all right
And see if his eyes turn from blue into white
And the calm of his voice becomes loud and uptight

If you look close behind his shadow will line
Up with a box with a message inside

Take out the note but don’t read what he wrote
Until you’re out of his sight and the chance is remote
That he’ll know that it’s you who was sent by this cue
To uncover the covered up, invisible clue

Go to the hill where the sycamore still
Inches it’s way toward cloud covered sky
Read it and try to not ask yourself why
It was you that was sent to discover the tie
Between what you read and have seen
of the windy ravine, where you know you must go
Knowing all that you now know

When you know the steep walls and the frightening calls
Of the buzzards that wait for a favor from fate
Don’t return to the street until the man and you meet
To discuss what you’ve read as your heart fills with dread
Remember the point of the story of the worst allegory
Then you’ll know what you’ve read is inscribed in your head

You know what to do, go in strength, see it through
You’re the one and you’ll know if the message is for you
But I won’t
